Why build your career at Crosslands?
For nearly three decades, Crosslands Construction has built more than buildings — we’ve built a company worth working for. From our Englewood, Colorado headquarters, our team delivers ground-up commercial projects across the country. Steady, relationship-driven work means our people get to sharpen real expertise on familiar project types while still seeing new markets and new challenges.
What sets us apart is how we treat the people who make the work happen. Our core values — Character, Relationships, Optimization, Service, and Set Apart — aren’t a poster in the breakroom; they guide how we run job sites, how we back up our crews, and how we partner with clients and subcontractors.
If you want to do quality work, with good people, for clients who keep coming back — come build with Crosslands.”

About Crosslands
Crosslands Construction Company is a 30-year-old, mid-sized commercial general contractor with a track record of delivering quality ground-up construction. Our portfolio spans one- to three-story buildings and a wide range of structural systems. We’re a company that takes care of our people — in the field and in the office.
The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, detail-driven Project Manager / Estimator to own commercial construction projects from initial takeoff through final closeout. This is a dual-hat role: you’ll build winning estimates during the pursuit phase, then shepherd those same projects through execution — budget, schedule, subcontractors, and client communication. You’ll work directly with our Preconstruction Manager and Project Managers, and partner closely with our field Superintendents to deliver projects on time and on budget.
What You’ll Do
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and develop competitive hard-bid and negotiated estimates for commercial projects
- Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing; build and maintain strong trade-partner relationships
- Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and value-engineering options for clients, architects, and owners
- Manage assigned projects from contract award through closeout — schedule, budget, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Buy out projects, draft and negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders, and manage subcontractor billings
- Maintain project budgets and cost reports; forecast costs to complete and flag variances early
- Partner with Superintendents on constructability reviews, logistics, and day-to-day field coordination
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear, timely communication with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings for accuracy, coordination issues, and scope gaps
- Support safety, quality, and closeout documentation alongside the project team
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction as a Project Manager, Estimator, Assistant PM, or combined PM/Estimator role
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate takeoffs and complete, well-organized estimates
- Working knowledge of ground-up commercial construction — wood frame, steel, masonry, and/or tilt-wall
- Strong command of construction documents, specifications, and the full CSI scope breakdown
- Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project; experience with Procore, Sage, or comparable PM/accounting platforms
- Sharp organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple bids and active projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred — equivalent field experience considered
- Valid driver’s license
Benefits
- Health insurance (employee + family)
- Dental insurance
- Vision insurance
- Life insurance
- Paid time off
- Professional development assistance

ABOUT CROSSLANDS CONSTRUCTION
Crosslands Construction Company is a 28-year-old commercial general contractor headquartered in Englewood, CO, with $20–30M in annual revenue and an active project footprint spanning multiple states. We specialize in ground-up commercial construction — one- to three-story buildings across a variety of structural systems, including wood frame, steel, masonry, and tilt-wall.
Our repeat client programs include national brands like QuikTrip convenience stores and KinderCare Learning Centers, which means our Superintendents work on consistent project types in diverse markets — building real expertise and real relationships. We take care of our people: you stay paid between assignments, you’re set up for success in the field, and you’ve got a team behind you from day one.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced, self-directed Superintendent to own field operations on commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through closeout. You’ll report directly to the Project Manager and VP of Field Operations, and you’ll be the on-site leader for schedule, quality, subcontractor performance, and site safety.
This is a traveling position. You will be assigned to projects in different markets — typically running one project at a time — and must be comfortable relocating temporarily and working independently in unfamiliar locations. Crosslands provides per diem, auto allowance, and technology support to make this manageable.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the project schedule — develop, maintain, and enforce it from mobilization through owner turnover
- Manage and coordinate all subcontractors on site; hold them accountable to scope, schedule, and quality standards
- Read and execute construction documents with precision: civil, architectural, structural, MEP drawings, specs, and shop drawings
- Perform field verification of grades, dimensions, elevations, and material quantities
- Conduct quantity and material takeoffs as needed to support field ordering and cost control
- Manage all RFIs, submittals tracking, and field document control in coordination with the PM
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site — enforce OSHA compliance and Crosslands safety standards daily
- Coordinate with local inspectors, utilities, and municipal authorities to keep inspections and approvals on track
- Complete daily reports, photo documentation, and project logs using Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and online PM platforms
- Proactively communicate project status, risks, and issues to the PM and VP of Field Operations
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- 10+ years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent
- Proven track record with ground-up construction, including associated sitework (grading, utilities, flatwork)
- Hands-on experience with two or more structural systems: wood frame, steel, masonry, or tilt-wall
- Strong ability to read and interpret full construction document sets (civil, architectural, structural, MEP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu for document markup and field coordination
- Familiarity with online project management platforms (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or equivalent)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license; willingness and ability to travel to project sites nationally
Preferred:
- Experience managing fast-paced repeat-program projects (convenience stores, retail, childcare, medical)
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid / CPR certified
- Experience using scheduling software for CPM schedule development and three-week look-aheads
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Base Salary: $85,000 – $110,000
Pay Between Assignments: Paid during downtime between projets
Auto Allowance: Included
Per Diem: Market-adjusted by project location
Technology: Laptop and cell phone allowance provided
Schedule: Monay – Friday, weekends as needed during critical stages
BENEFITS
- Medical insurance — employee and family coverage
- Dental insurance
- Vision insurance
- Life insurance
- Paid time off (PTO)
